The Arts

At Saint Catherine of Siena, we believe that a well-rounded education includes appreciating the beauty of the visual and performing arts.  We know that art helps students develop a connection to a subject and encourages creativity. In addition, participation in the performing arts helps students build relationships and encourages psychological, social and emotion growth.

Youth Choral Program

As part of Saint Catherine’s focus on the arts, students in grades 3-8 are invited to participate in our Youth Choral Program (YCP). They raise their voices in song at Sunday’s 9:00 am Family Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, as well as at SCS school Masses.  

Rehearsals are held Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm and Sundays, 8:15-9:00 am

The SCS Spring Musical

SCS’s spring musical is a highly-anticipated extravaganza that allows a maximum number of children to participate (middle school). Students who don’t want to be on stage help out with props, set design and painting, costuming, etc.

Our spring musical production requires a lot of parent involvement and that shared experience brings the school community closer.
