HASA serves to strengthen the link between the home and the school and promotes social and athletic activities for the students and parents in the school environment. HASA sponsors and staffs a variety of enrichment activities and organizes volunteer programs within the school. A listing of HASA sponsored programs is given at the beginning of the school year. Every child benefits from the activities run by HASA! Parents are automatic members of HASA and participate as time and talent permit. Volunteering is a great opportunity to get to know other parents and families. Families can offer varying amounts of time – any and all time that can be provided is much appreciated. Multiple Enrichment Programs to be scheduled throughout the year
We are currently looking for someone (or a team of two) to chair our annual Mother-Son event. In the past, this event has ranged from floor hockey to bowling to a carnival. We are open to your creativity! We are also looking for an IBL Coordinator. IBL (intramural basketball) is a program that is run for 4th and 5th grade students on Friday nights for approximately six weeks, December through January. Kids love coming to socialize and learn some basketball skills to start their weekend. The program will start in December and end in January. Additional volunteers are always available to assist with skills, drills, and coordination of the kids.
New this year, we’d like to hold a Middle School Bowling Night! Of course, we need someone to coordinate! This new event will be a welcome addition for our older kids.
Event coordinators receive 20 volunteer hours. Event volunteers receive 5 hours.
Before volunteering, be sure to fill out a CORI form which can be found here. Once filled out, please return to Linda Canniff in the Advancement office.
Each school year, HASA schedules 10-12 enrichment programs. Parent volunteers donate their time to ensure these events run smoothly. The goal of the Enrichment Program is to enhance our students’ educational experience. The Enrichment Program augments the school’s curriculum and further encourages students’ interest in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
Our enrichment programs are funded by the Scrip Gift Card program. If you have any questions, please contact Corinna Gallo (Enrichment) at firstname.lastname@example.org or Nancy Harrison (Scrip Gift Cards) at Scrip4scsnorwood@gmail.com.
Used uniforms are available always available and can be purchased through the year for $5 per piece. If you are in need of uniforms please email Betsy Narciso at email@example.com
